Todos and reminders

The things that come back, tracked properly.

Medication three times a day gets three ticks, not one box you reset at midnight. See a day or a month, and get reminded by email or phone so it does not depend on you remembering to look.

An illustration of a daily list: a task repeating three times a day with two of the three occurrences ticked.

Private by default. Free to start. No card needed.

How it works

Add it once. It comes back on its own.

  1. 1

    Add the task

A one-off, or one that repeats. Daily, weekly, or several times a day with a slot for each one.

  2. 2

    Choose how you want reminding

Email, phone, or neither. Set it once and the task carries it every time it comes back.

  3. 3

    Tick it as it happens

Each occurrence separately, so the record is what actually happened rather than a box you reset at midnight.

Why this beats a list of checkboxes

Things that repeat, handled properly

Most task apps treat a recurring task as one row that resets, so you can never tell whether you took the second dose or only the first. Here a repeating task has a slot for each occurrence, and you tick them off one at a time.

A day, or a month at a glance

Switch between today's list and the month laid out as a calendar. The same tasks, two ways of looking at them, depending on whether you are working or planning.

Reminders that leave the app

Email and phone reminders, so a task does not depend on you opening something to remember it. A reminder you never see is not a reminder.

They add up to something

A todo can sit underneath a goal, and the goal reads its progress from it. Today's list stops being a list and starts being the thing that moves what you are actually trying to do.

What people actually put in it

Mostly the repeating things, because those are the ones a plain list keeps losing.

Today's list, pointed at something

A todo can sit underneath a goal, and the goal reads its progress from it. Ticking the task is the only bookkeeping there is.

Under a goal

The goal moves when you tick the task, so you never update two things.

Questions

Can it handle something three times a day?

Yes, and that is the case it was built for. A repeating task gets a slot for each occurrence, so the second dose is a separate tick from the first and you can see at a glance which ones you actually did.

Will it remind me?

By email and by phone. You set it once on the task and it carries the reminder every time it repeats.

Can I see a month rather than a day?

Yes. The same tasks render as a daily list or as a month calendar, and you switch between them whenever it suits.

What happens to a task I miss?

It stays where it was, unticked, so the record is honest. Nothing is quietly rolled forward to make the day look finished.

Can a task count toward a goal?

Yes. Put a todo underneath a goal and the goal reads its progress from it, so ticking the task is the only bookkeeping there is.

Do I have to pay?

No. Todos, repeats, both views and reminders are free. Pro adds the rest of Favist, and it is one subscription rather than a separate one.
