Your affirmations, in your words, read aloud one after another with room to breathe between them. It takes about a minute. Private from the start, and free.
An illustration of a session in progress: one line already read, one being read now, two still to come.
Private by default. Free to start. No card needed.
How it works
The whole thing is three steps, and only the first one takes any thought.
Four or five is plenty to start. There is a composer that shows you how long the session will run as you type, so you can feel the length before you commit to it.
Any voice your device already has, per affirmation if you want different ones. Slow, steady or brisk, which mostly changes the length of the silence between lines.
Press play and listen. That is the whole ritual, and it takes about as long as making coffee. The day is recorded when the session finishes.
A session reads your affirmations aloud, one after another, and leaves a real pause after each one. Reading a line takes a second and slides past. Hearing it in a voice, then sitting in the silence after it, is a different experience, and the pause is most of what makes it land.
You write them. There is guidance on what tends to work, first person, present tense, short enough to say in one breath, but no stock pack of sentences written for everyone and therefore for nobody. A line about your life beats a general truth every time.
An affirmation collection is public, unlisted or private, and you choose which. Most people keep these private, which is the point. How often you sit with them is never shown to anyone, on any profile, ever.
Finishing a session records the day, and that day feeds the same streak system as everything else you keep up. Miss one and you restart, and the history stays. Nothing scolds you.
Plainer than you might expect, and specific to one life rather than to everyone. Borrow one to start, then make it yours.
The pace mostly changes the silence between lines, and the silence is doing most of the work. A line followed immediately by the next one is a list being recited.

Affirmations sit inside Favist, beside the goals they serve and everything else you keep.
A finished session is a day kept, counted by the same system as everything else you are keeping up. One place to see whether you are actually doing the things you said you would.
An affirmation is usually about something you are trying to become. Point it at the goal and the daily sentence and the yearly aim stop living in separate apps.
The same place as your music, your books and your lists. Affirmations are an ordinary collection here, which is why they need no separate app, no separate login and no separate subscription.
Plenty of apps in this category will tell you that saying a sentence out loud rewires your brain. We are not going to. What Favist does is smaller and we can actually stand behind it: you write down what you want to be true, it reads it back to you every day, and you can see whether you kept it up. Whatever that is worth to you is yours to decide, and the free tier means you can find out without paying us to promise you anything.
Pricing
Writing, the daily session, the voice and the streak cost nothing and always will. Pro is the rest of Favist, and it is one subscription rather than another one.
Everything that makes this work. No card.
All of Favist, affirmations included.
We are not going to tell you it does. There is research on self-affirmation and there is a great deal of marketing that overstates it, and we are not in a position to settle that for you. What Favist does is narrower and we can stand behind it: you write down what you want to be true, and it reads it back to you every day, and you can see whether you kept it up.
As private as anything else in Favist. A collection is public, unlisted or private and you decide which. Most people keep these private. How often you sit with them is never shown to anyone.
You can pick from the voices your device already has, and you can set a different one per affirmation. If a voice is ever missing, that line is read in the default one rather than skipped.
Some browsers have no speech at all, and rather than sitting silently on line one the session gives you a Next button and still records the sitting properly. You lose the voice, not the practice.
The voice is the one built into your browser, so a session needs no network and starts instantly with nothing to load. On most platforms the text is never sent anywhere to be spoken.
The day counts once. A second sitting is welcome and it will not inflate a streak.
Five short lines at a steady pace is a little over a minute. The composer shows the running length as you write, so you can build one that fits the time you actually have.
No. Writing affirmations, the daily session, the voice and the streak are all free. Pro raises the collection limits and adds the rest of Favist, and it is the same subscription, not a separate one.
It takes a minute to set up and a minute a day to keep.
